What Do I Need In Order to Apply for an Internship and When Should I Start Looking?
-
A resumé and cover letter (or proposal) tailored to the types of opportunities you seek and addressed to a specific individual are an absolute necessity. Many employers want references or a letter of recommendation from professors and/or former supervisors and, from time to time, a writing sample or a transcript.
- Recruiting deadlines often vary by industry (check with a Feld Career Center advisor to be sure), but they can be as early as October and as late as May for summer internships. Start early and identify when your target companies need your materials.
