Undergraduate Careers:
International Management
A concentration in International Management can prepare you to work as part of global business environments and practices. Most students decide to combine an International Management concentration with another area of interest such as Finance, with the possibility of pursuing job opportunities domestically and abroad. International Management can provide a good foundation for awareness of diversity and cultural topics and analysis of globalization opportunities for businesses.
Position Yourself for Success
- If you are seriously considering working abroad, language proficiency is important for both oral and written communication. Companies often look for candidates who are willing to relocate.
- Seek opportunities for cultural exploration and immersion such as study aboard programs. Visit the UPO for additional information about these programs and application processes.
- Join related clubs and cultural organizations such as the International Management Association.
- International and government programs can be competitive and have lengthy application processes. Be prepared to begin the job search process early.
